JLT, Stein Mart Partner For 'Style Exchange'
09/30/2007

The Junior League of Tyler and Stein Mart will partner to host the seventh annual "Style Exchange" on Thursday-Saturday at Stein Mart, 2125 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler.
This event, which began in Milwaukee in 1998, "is a three-day opportunity where individuals can drop off their gently used clothing, shoes, and household items," Junior League spokesperson Teri Sawyer said.
Donations will be accepted each day from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Stein Mart.
In exchange for each item donated, the customer will receive a tax receipt and a coupon worth 20 percent off any one item at Stein Mart, with a maximum of four coupons.
Donations to "The Style Exchange' will be used to furnish inventory for the JLT's Spring Sweep rummage sale. The Spring Sweep sale is held every other year with proceeds benefiting community programs funded by the JLT, Ms. Sawyer said.
The next Spring Sweep sale is scheduled for Feb. 23. Sale shoppers will be able to purchase clothing, household items, furniture, electronics, baby items and much more.
Volunteers from Shots Across Texas will provide free immunizations during the rummage sale.
The JLT is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. For more information call Judy Archilla, Stein Mart, at 903-595-2500 or the Junior League of Tyler office at 903-595-5426.
