Thursday, September 26, 2019

The Junior League of Tyler was honored with the Butterfly Hope Award at the annual Alzheimer’s Alliance of Smith County luncheon on Thursday, September 26, 2019. The award, started in 2013, recognizes individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the Alzheimer’s Alliance mission of providing life-changing support to persons living with dementia and their caregivers. Since 2002, the Junior League of Tyler has provided financial assistance and volunteer hours to the Alzheimer’s Alliance. The primary focus for the League has been on the Terrific Tuesdays program. This year, because of the partnership between the Junior League of Tyler and the Alzheimer’s Alliance, the day program has now expanded to Thursdays as well.
