Junior League of Tyler Awards Four Scholarships

FOUR outstanding seniors from Smith County were awarded with scholarships from the Junior League of Tyler in June. Each student was granted $2,500 for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Recipients include:

•Rachel Berkeley (top left) – The Brook Hill School

•Ainsley Garner (top right) – East Texas Christian Academy

•Eliza Carnes (bottom left) – Robert E. Lee HS

•Mackenzie Ibarra (bottom right) – Chapel Hill HS

The Beverly Beaird Young Woman’s Leadership Scholarship is designed for a Senior in Smith County who:

– demonstrates excellence in and has commitment to voluntarism

– exhibits innovation and creative actions that reach out and motivate others

– indicates a commitment to continuing her education
